App

The Dotbots app is used to connect to the robot, control it, and access programming tools.

Home screen

The home screen has four main buttons:

• Build
• Play
• Code
• Learn

There is also a connection indicator button. If it is crossed out, the app is not connected to the robot. Press it to connect the robot to the app.

App sections

• Build is used for assembly instructions and repair guidance.
• Play is used for direct control, game modes, personalisation, and custom controls.
• Code is used to access the programming modes.
• App and Firmware Updates explains how updates are delivered and installed.
• App Settings explains the options available from the settings screen.

Learn

Learn is a gamified learning section with guided tasks that become more difficult as you progress.
